1. An academic degree with an average grade of at least 75 (Academic degrees/transcripts from another country must be submitted to the Ministry of Education for evaluation).
2. Applicants must successfully pass an aptitude test for teaching as well as an admission interview according to the requirements of the different academic institutions.
3. Successfully pass an English Proficiency Test

Summer semester (June-August)- 2022, Fall semester (October-January)- 2022-2023, Spring semester (March-June)-2023

• The program is divided into two parts including theoretical and practical knowledge.
• The summer intensive training will take place four days a week out of which two will be devoted to practical work at schools around the country.
• Studies will also include practical workshops led by professional pedagogical guides.

Studies for a teaching certificate in the high school track will include 24 academic hours.

Practical experience in the classrooms will include 6-9 weekly hours.

Studies for a teaching certificate in the elementary and the middle school track will include 30 academic hours.

Practical experience in the classrooms will include 9-15 hours.

The number of supplementary academic hours in English language and literature will be determined by the different colleges according to the disciplinary requirements.

For newcomers only – 2 academic hours of basic studies in the Hebrew language will be mandatory, regardless of the level of student classification.

For newcomers, the financial support will cover the teaching certificate studies and up to 20 academic hours for completion,  according to the different disciplinary requirements. The studies' tuition will be transferred directly to the different academic colleges.

Those who are not eligible for support from the ministry of Aliya and Integration, will receive 2 scholarships:

1. NIS 5,800 which, if you choose not to become a teacher, will have to be returned.
2. NIS 5,000 or NIS 10,000, for 40 or 80 hours of volunteering in the community during the school year.

These 2 scholarships together may cover the tuition according to your personal required disciplinary completion hours

Those who already have a teaching certificate, in English or any other subject from an academic institution abroad will be required to  scan and send us their documents for evaluation to the following email address: musavim@macam.ac.il
